Taso On Center opened it’s doors for the first time in February of 2019, with Jay Sabataso behind the operation with a goal to provide a modern and eclectic dining option in downtown Rutland. With a menu not yet offered in the area, it was an exciting and new addition to the downtown area. The restaurant menu is unique in a way that it is always evolving, with options like traditional American, Mexican, and Asian cuisine. Since opening, Taso On Center has also opened and event space, available for holidays and special events.
Taso On Center is a product of Sabataso’s long history working in the restaurant industry. Jay started working at the early age of 12 washing dishes at The Sabotaso family restaurant, The Palms. The family restaurant opened in 1933 on Strongs Avenue, and remains there today serving up delicious Italian meals. Jay has used his love for the industry to prolong the family tradition at his new restaurant, and for the last 3+ years Taso On Center has been a local go-to for local, fresh, and delicious food in the Rutland community.
